Radiometric gage for measuring the sorting out of bulk material mixtures

The device consists of a container for mixture analysis, a radiation source and a detector. The source and the detector are shielded. The container bottom is of a material permeable to the radiation. The radiation source is of a planar type. The compression device for maintaining constant surface density of the material being measured consists of a stand with rule, a lever and a compression plate. The advantage of the device is the possibility of direct indication of the inorganic component in the mixture. The use of sealed sources does not pose special requirements for operator's protection.
