Crystal structure of R6GaCo2 compounds (R=YeDy,Tb,Ho,Er,Tm,Lu)

Description
Crystal structure of Ho6GaCo2 is studied by the monocrystal method using autodiffractometer. Coordination numbers of atoms are the following: for Ho - 13-15, for Ga - 12-14, for Co - 9-10. The structure is presented as a carcass of Ho atoms icosahedral and cubic-octahedral voids of which are filled with Ga atoms, with Co in tetragonal-anti.prismatic voids. Other ways of filling the voids are presented in As3Co, Al12W, P12Fe4La structures. Isostructural Ho6GaCo2 compounds are found in Y, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm and Lu structures.
