Durability Requirements to the Reinforced Concrete used in Nuclear Facilities
Description
The purpose of this document is to clarify how the durability requirements of (ACI 349, ACI 301 and ACI 207R) can be met through the use of technical specifications given in the Euro Codes, establishing an equivalence between the requirements shown in both regulations (ACI and Euro Codes) by means of the Identification of failure mechanisms, origins and effects. Most European codes provide a useful life span of 50 to 100 years, which could be low for some nuclear installations. (Author)
