Group theoretical approach to monopole theories
Description
A group theoretical approach to the magnetic monopole theory is presented, where the monopole appears through the requirement that the Hamiltonian operator be a scalar with respect to the orthogonal group whose generators are written in a form which is different from the well known expression r x p. The vector potential of the monopole is extracted from that part of the Hamiltonian which describes the minimal interaction with a vector field. (author)
