The following central topics were dealt with: recent developments in inert-gas welding, welding in vehicle construction, build-up welding, welding with lasers, welding in container and pipeline construction, brazing and high-temperature soldering, and safety at work in welding. Die vorliegende Broschuere enthaelt den Volltext von 40 Vortraegen, die auf der Grossen Schweisstechnischen Tagung im September 1984 in Frankfurt gehalten wurden. Hauptthemen waren: Neuere Entwicklungen im Schutzgasschweissen, Schweissen im Fahrzeugbau, Auftragsschweissen, Schweissen mit Lasern, Schweissen im Behaelter- und Rohrleitungsbau, Hart- und Hochtemperaturloeten sowie Arbeitsschutz in der Schweisstechnik.
