Normal computed tomographic anatomy of the cisterns and cranial nerves
Description
This study, based on the normal CT anatomy of the cisterns investigated with Metrizamide, aims at attempting to find out with accuracy which plane of section is the most suitable for the investigation of each group of cisterns (posterior fossa, mesencephalon, suprasellar). Moreover we felt it necessary to include our study the normal appearance of the cranial nerves as their normal CT anatymy - optic nerves expected - is not well known yet. (orig./AJ)

Die Untersuchung basiert auf der mit Metrizamid bestimmten, normalen CT-Anatomie der Zisternen; es soll nun genau festgestellt werden, welche Schnittebene bei bestimmten Zisternen jeweils die besten Ergebnisse liefert (Fossa posterior, Mesencephalon, suprasellar). Daneben wird das normale Aussehen der Schaedelnerven dargestellt, deren normale CT-Anatomie, abgesehen von den optischen Nerven, bisher nicht sehr bekannt ist. (orig./AJ)Additional details
