A-dependence of jet photoproduction
Description
Fermilab E683 studied the photoproduction of high pt jets using a tagged photon beam with energies in the range from 50 to 400 GeV on liquid hydrogen and deuterium, and six nuclear targets. Data were also taken with a wide band π- beam at the same mean √s. Jets with pt in the range from 3 to 7 GeV/c were reconstructed using a highly segmented large acceptance calorimeter. The di-jet events were selected and used to construct the ktφ distributions which are the single component of the vector pt imbalance of the di-jet system. The A-dependence of ktφ for both beam types and this A-dependence as a function of beam energy will be presented. copyright 1995 American Institute of Physics
