The analysis and discussion on the fuel economy for HPR1000
Description
One of the technical characteristics of Hualong Pressurized Reactor is the use of 177-assembly core. The rational evaluation of fuel economy is of great significance to the research of the third generation nuclear power plant of independent innovation, not only for the clear direction of fuel cost control and optimization, as well as the improvement of the economy and competitiveness of HPR1000. According to the different fuel management programs, this paper calculates the cost difference in the first fuel cycle and refueling stage between HPR1000 and the second generation improved nuclear power plant as well as AP1000, makes a research on the fuel economy of HPR1000. The major factors affecting the cost of nuclear fuel are clear by the sensitivity analysis of fuel manufacturing processes. The analysis shows that the fuel management program of HPR1000 has obvious advantages in equilibrium refueling stage and the component production cost, natural uranium price are the focus of fuel cost control for its large proportion in the overall cost. Besides, separation work price also has a certain influence on the fuel cost. (authors)
