Intepretation of observed resonances in the φ φ system as four-quark states

Description

Resonances in the system of two φ mesons in the region of 2.2-2.4 GeV masses are found while investigating π-p → φφn(A) and π-Be → φφX(B) reactions. The data analysis of exclusive process (A) indicates the presence of three resonances with M=2.12; 2.22 and 2.36 GeV. Experimental data on exclusive analysis (B) show the presence of two resonances with M=2.23 GeV and M=2.39 GeV which assume values both Jpc=0++, and Jpc=2++. Interpretation of these resonances as four-quark states, consisting of two strange quarks and two strange antiquarks s-bars-barss is possible. The interpretation supposed is based on coincidence of observed values of masses of φφ resonances with calculations made earlier of masses of s-bars-barss-states and on agreement (according to the order of values) of cross sections of initiation of φφ-resonances with
