Partially ionized hydrogen plasmas in strong electric fields
Description
A partially ionized hydrogen plasma is considered in high electric fields. The influence of the field on the electron distribution function is described by solving the Boltzmann-equation in Fokker-Planck approximation. Three-particle processes like exitation are included. With the help of the distribution function the field - behaviour is seen and the macroscopic values like kinetic energy, conductivity and runaway-electrons are calculated explicitly. The heating up of the plasma and the break down of the system are shown. (orig.)
