Description
Since April 2011, after the accident at TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, the authors have been working on graduation research and the like targeting at environmental radioactive cesium. A large amount of radioactive cesium released from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station was deposited on topsoil and became an external or internal exposure source. Radioactive cesium is being recollected for decontamination with the aim reconstruction. The challenges are to understand the current state and behavior of radioactive cesium as an exposure source, and to recover and dispose of radioactive cesium. Mainly as the member of the 3rd Laboratory of the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, the authors have been studying on radiocesium from the viewpoints of deposition state on soil, circulation between soil and plants, removal method from soil, and contribution to air dose rate. 東京電力福島第1原子力発電所事故後の2011年4月から環境の放射性セシウムを対象として卒業研究等で取り組んできた。福島第1原発から大量に放出された放射性セシウムは表土に沈着し、外部被ばく源、内部被ばく源となった。復興に向けて除染ということで放射性セシウムの回収が行われている。被ばく源としての放射性セシウムの現状と挙動の把握、放射性セシウムの回収と処理が課題である。原子力研究所第3研究室を中心として、土壌における沈着状況、土壌と植物等との間の循環、土壌からの除去方法、空間線量率への寄与などの観点から検討を進めてきた。(著者)Additional details
