Self-diffusion of liquid hydrogen and deuterium
Description
Coefficients of self-diffusion are reported for liquid H2, D2, and H2--D2 mixtures from the melting points to within about 10 degreeK of the gas--liquid critical points. The data are interpreted with the quasilattice theory for self-diffusion with corrections for quantum mechanical tunneling. Satisfactory agreement is obtained between the theory and experiment for hydrogen as well as liquid argon
