Study of hydrothermal crystallization in the system Na2O-BaO-Nd2O3-SiO2-H2O

Description
Hydrothermal crystallization in the Na2O-BaO-Nd2O3-SiO2-H2O system is studied at T=500 deg C and P approximately 1 kbar. Boundaries of stable compound phase formation are defined. More than 10 phases are isolated and 7 of them - for the first time. Radiographic investigation of new crystals is conducted, and crystal structure is determined for six of them. It is noted that variation in initial oxide relation exerts a dominating effect on phase formation. NC-diagrams of crystallization fields are plotted for the system and discussed
