Electronic and magnetic properties of heavy rare-earth hexaboride single crystals
- 1. Dept. of Physics, Tohoku Univ., Sendai (Japan)
Description
Big single crystals of heavy rare-earth (Tb, Dy and Ho) hexaborides have been grown by the crucible-free vertical floating zone method. Temperature and magnetic field dependence of the electrical resistivity, the specific heat and the magnetic susceptibility have been reported and discussed. The experimental results indicate the complex magnetic behavior of heavy rare-earth hexaborides at low temperatures. (orig.)
