Deep inelastic charged lepton-nucleon scattering
Description
Bjorken's scaling hypothesis for the inclusive reaction ep → ex is still a rather good approximation for the data. The spread of the data points is less than 30% at a given x value. Scaling violation effects can be seen at large x values (x > 0.3). The situation is not clear for small x values (x < 0.1). The quantities R(p) and R(d) are small but not zero, and within the errors the data are consistent with R(p) approximately equal to R(d). (BJ)

(BJ)
