Background information on labelling of electricity 2007
Description
Since January 1, 2005, Dutch producers of electricity are legally obliged to label electricity, i.e. to show which energy sources are used to produce electricity: natural gas, coal, nuclear energy, or renewable energy sources (the so-called fuel-mix). The fuel-mix in the Netherlands for 2007 is more than 50% natural gas, 24% coal, 9% nuclear energy, and 13% is green electricity (renewable energy sources). The environmental effects are in terms of CO2 and radioactive waste: 426 g CO2/kWh and 0.000270 radioactive waste per kWh

Sinds 1 januari 2005 is etikettering van de herkomst van elektriciteit verplicht in Nederland. CE Delft heeft de mix van de elektriciteit die in Nederland in 2007 geleverd is vastgesteld. De Nederlandse leveringsmix bestaat uit elektriciteit op-gewekt uit aardgas (ruim 50%), kolen (24%), kernenergie (9%) en groene stroom (13%).
