Description
In this contribution the path-integral bosonization of a superconductor quark model is discussed using a convenient exponential parametrization of the chiral field. The resulting effective meson Lagrangian turns out to contain not only the common kinetic and interaction terms but also the quartic derivative terms of the Skyrme-type, as well as the gauged Wess-Zumino term. The implications of the new quartic derivative terms for meson physics, as well as for the problem of the skyrmion stability are discussed. 19 refs.; 1 table
