Analysis of the reliability of an emergency Diesel set in a nuclear power station

Description
By analysing the reliability of an emergency diesel set it is possible to make an exhaustive search of all the breakdowns that can occur in the different situations of the set -stand-by or operation- and to determine the reliability parameters for the diesel set, namely the probability of failure to start and the breakdown rate during operation. For the purposes of the analysis it has been necessary to break the set down into functional sub-units; the method of failure trees and simple rules for the calculation of probabilities have been used

L'analyse de la fiabilite d'un groupe diesel de secours permet de faire une recherche exhaustive de toutes les defaillances susceptibles de se produire dans les differents etats du groupe: attente ou fonctionnement, et de determiner les parametres de fiabilite du groupe Diesel a savoir probabilite de defaillance au demarrage et taux de defaillance en fonctionnement. La conduite de l'analyse a necessite un decoupage du groupe en sous-ensembles fonctionnels et a ete realisee en utilisant la methode des arbres de defaillances et les regles simples du calcul des probabilitesAdditional details
