Nuclear magnetic resonance 11B and 57Fe in quenched and annealed Fe-17 at.% B amorphous alloys

Description

Using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) it is found that structural relaxation in annealed Fe-17 at.%B alloy samples existing in amorphous state is conditioned by: 1) formation of clusters with short-range order of a-Fe type, at that they contain approximately 10 at.%B; 2) increase of cluster volume fraction (as compared to quenched amorphous state) with short-range order of Fe3B tetragonal phase type relative to cluster fraction with short-range order of the type of orthorombic Fe3B phase
