Ionic mobility, ionic transport, and charge transfer mechanism in solid solutions (1-x)PbF2-xMFn by the NMR and impedance spectroscopy data

Description
The internal mobility and ionic conduction of solid solutions in systems PbF2-MF2 and PbF2-MF3 (M=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Cd, Sn; M'=Al, Ga, In, Y, La) are studied by the NMR (19F, 27Al, 207Pb) and impedance spectroscopy methods. Factors that define the form of ionic movements and their energy characteristics in the temperature region 150 to 550 K are considered and analyzed. Temperature shifts of the frequency range that defines the ionic conductivity of solid solutions are discovered on the basis of impedance spectroscopy data and explained. It is established that the high ionic conductivity in lead difluoride doped with fluorides of metals of Groups II and III is caused by the diffusion of fluoride ions. The large values of specific conductivity (10-4 to 10-3 S cm-1) at a relatively low activation energy (less than 0.6 eV) allow one to consider the solid solutions studied as a basis of new fluoride materials with high ionic conductivity
Abstract (Russian)
Методами ЯМР (19F, 207Pb) и импедансной спектроскопии исследованы внутренняя подвижность и ионная проводимость твердых растворов в системах PbF2-MF2 и PbF2-M'F3 (M=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Cd, Sn; M'=Al, Ga, In, Y, La). Рассмотрены и проанализированы факторы, определяющие форму ионных движений и их энергетику в диапазоне температур 150-550 К. На основании данных импедансной спектроскопии обнаружены и объяснены температурные сдвиги частотного диапазона, определяющего ионную проводимость твердых растворов. Установлено, что высокая ионная проводимость в дифториде свинца, допированного фторидами металлов II, III групп, обусловлена диффузией ионов фтора. Высокие значения удельной проводимости (σ ∼10-4-10-3 См/см) при сравнительно низкой энергии активации (менее 0.6 эВ) позволяют рассматривать исследованные растворы в качестве основы для получения новых фторидных материалов с высокой ионной проводимостьюAdditional details
