Alloying effect on plane detect state in ordered Ni3Al alloy
Description
Simulation of plane defect energies in Ni3Al intermetallics alloyed with Cr, Fe, Nb is carried out. Analysis of calculated and literary data showed that Fe and Nb atoms are distributed in Ni sites and Cr atoms are arranged uniformly in all lattice sites. Cr additions are shown to increase and Fe and Nb additions - to decrease activation energy of lateral slip. It is concluded that Cr and Fe additions decrease, and Nb additions increase stability of the lattice of Ni3Al alloy relatively transition to DO19 superstructure
