Asymptotic properties of non-Abelian gauge theories in an external gravitational field

Description

Renormalization-group equations are obtained for the effective charge xi(tau) corresponding to the parameter of nonminimal coupling of the scalar and gravitational fields in two models of quantum field theory containing interacting gauge, spinor, and scalar fields in an external gravitational field. The asymptotic behavior of the charge xi(tau) in the limit of a strong gravitational field is investigated. It is shown that the models which are considered may have asymptotic conformal invariance
