Dose control practise and optimize during refueling outage in Qinshan nuclear power plant

  • 1. Qinshan Nuclear Power Company Limited, Haiyan (China)

Description

In Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR), more than 80% of Annual Collective Radiation Exposure Dose of workers in the NPP can be attributed to the maintenance activities during refueling outage, so collective dose control better or not also reflected the radiation protection management level in NPP. During outage there are more high radiation works, more radiation workers and the exposure risk is higher. Therefore dose control during outage is one part of the most important woks of radiation protection in NPP. Qinshan NPP have completed 11 refueling outages, through gradually improving, some good experience has obtained and the collective dose has controlled effectively. This paper introduces the dose control good practice and optimize in Qinshan NPP. (authors)
