Description
In the chiral model with three or more flavours, there are topological excitations which can be interpreted as dibaryon states. They correspond to the six-quark states found by Jaffe in the quark model. In this paper we discuss the quantum mechanics, masses and quantum numbers of these states in detail. We also discuss the ambiguities in the quantization of such soliton solutions which arise when only the collective coordinates are quantized. (orig.)
