Description
Yrast spectra in nuclei around 146Gd have been studied in the framework of the deformed independent particle model. We pointed out the importance of pairing correlation and deformation change to construct the yrast configurations. The measured quadrupole moments and spin gyromagnetic ratios of several isomers in Gd isotopes provide an empirical verification of the calculated results. (author)
