The 6.9-kV, 63-kA VCB metal-clad switchgear for fossil-fuel power and nuclear power stations
- 1. Toshiba Corp., Kawasaki, Kanagawa (Japan)
Description
This is the first 6.9-kV metal-clad switchgear in the world which incorporates vacuum circuit breakers with an interrupting current of 63 kA. It is used mainly for large fossile-fuel thermal power and nuclear power stations. The prominent features of the switchgear are as follows: (1) the incorporation of two vacuum circuit breakers with an interrupting current of 63 kA in a row (2) the aseismic type 6.9-kV metal-clad switchgear available for nuclear power stations, and (3) high reliability, excellent operation, and maintenance lightened.
