Exploring copper selenolate precursor for the preparation of Cu1.8Se nanostructures

  • 1. Chemistry Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

A novel, air stable copper selenolate complex have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. The molecular structure of the complex was established by single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. TG and DTG of the complex indicates that this can be utilized for the preparation of Cu1.8Se nanostructures. Thermolysis of the complex in high boiling solvents afforded Cu1.8Se nanostructures which were characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM techniques. (author)
