Density distribution measurements using digital specklegram analysis

  • 1. Tokyo Univ., Nuclear Engineering Research Laboratory, Tokai, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

Steady-state density distributions of downward carbon dioxide flow have been measured using digital specklegram analysis. The simultaneous movements of speckle patterns due to the density variation have been recorded onto the CCD images for one-nozzle and two-nozzle test sections. Then, the density variations have been reconstructed by the use of the cross-correlation method for speckle displacements. The results have been compared with the measurements of the Mach-Zehnder interferometry to confirm the accuracies. (author)
