The bolus transport diagram: a functional image of the esophageal peristalsis

Description

This article describes the experiences to get a functional image of the esophageal peristalsis with the help of a liquid bolus with technetium 99m. Typical examples of patients and the effect of the therapy are described with the transport diagrams. The interpretation of the dynamics of the esophagus are simplified by means of these diagrams.
