Gamma ray tool for well logging
Description
A well logging tool for detecting low energy gamma rays includes an epoxy tubular housing member; means for providing a fluid tight seal for isolating the housing member from well fluids; and a gamma detector within the housing. In a second claim the well logging tool includes at least one pair of interconnecting tubular members which define a frusto-conical recess; a tubular composite graphite member having at least one frusto-conical end shaped to fit tightly in the recess; rubber tubing enclosing the graphite; and an aluminium tubular member enclosing the rubber. The gamma detector is inside the graphite member
