Heating of laboratory plasmas
Description
In case of heating laboratory plasmas, it is important not only to clarify the heating mechanism but also to find the effective method of obtaining high temperature plasma with critical thermonuclear condition. Then, the temperature attained by heating is determined by the balance between the thermalization speed of the kinetic energy injected outside and the rate of thermal energy loss in the plasma. Laboratory plasma heating is expounded in the above connection. (Mori, K.)
