The electron-proton colliding beam facility HERA
Description
The HERA electron-proton storage ring now under construction at DESY will collide 30 GeV electrons with 820 GeV protons. The physics programme, the layout of the machine and the development of superconducting accelerator magnets are described. (orig.)
