Kinetic characteristics of production and loss of nitrogen atoms in N2 plasma

Description

In the positive column of discharge of constant current in N2 by means of electron paramagnetic resonance one measured the rate of formation and concentration of nitrogen atoms, the constants of the rates of their heterogeneous decomposition and some electrophysical characteristics of plasma under 60-533 Pa gas pressure and 10-80 mA discharge currents. Analysis of dissociation processes showed that alongside with decomposition of electronic states excited from N2 by electronic impact the reaction with nitrogen excited molecules may play important role in formation of N atoms

Abstract (Russian)

В положительном столбе разряда постоянного тока в N2 методом электронного парамагнитного резонанса измерены скорость образования и концентрация атомов азота, константы скоростей их гетерогенной гибели и некоторые электрофизические характеристики плазмы при давлениях газа 60-533 Па и токах разряда 10-80 мА. Анализ процессов диссоциации показал, что наряду с распадом электронных состояний, возбуждаемых из N2 электронным ударом, в образовании атомов N важную роль могут играть реакции с возбужденными молекулами азота
