Description
By solving the eigenvalue equation for the quark-antiquark potential which emerges from an effective dilaton-gluon coupling inspired by superstring theory, the authors obtain the spin-averaged energy levels of charmonium (c anti c) and bottomium (b anti b) and show that the masses of the c anti c and b anti b states are well in agreement with the available experimental data
