Study of induction long-lived signal in superfluid 3He-B
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Fizicheskikh Problem
Description
The frequency of an induction ''long-lived'' signal in 3He-B is found to be time-dependent and the rate of frequency variation is found to increase with the field gradient. The experiments performed demonstrate the correctness of the Fomin theory suggested to explain the observed phenomenon. According to this theory a 3He-B sample, in which uniform precession of magnetization is excited, is divided into two phases. In one of these two phases the magnetization is parallel to the field and would not precess but in the second one it precesses at a deviation angle close to 104 deg
