Relationship between liver function and progesterone concentration in milk of dairy cattle

Description

In cows affected by polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), the levels of progesterone in blood and milk are statistically lower than those in unaffected cows. Furthermore the progesterone has a shorter half-life and liver function is impaired (as monitored by increased concentrations of bile acids) in these animals. 1 tab
