Fast wave eigenmodes in the L-2 stellarator during ICR plasma heating

Description

Experimental results on propagation and damping of waves and excitation of eigenmodes during ICR plasma heating in the L-2 stellarator are presented and explained theoretically. In the theoretical model, plasma and magnetic field inhomogeneities and the presence of an Alfven resonance are included. The experimental results are in good agreement with the calculations
