Separation of Bk(4) and Ce(4) from trivalent transplutonium and rare earth elements on ionites in sulfuric acid solutions

Description
Am, Cm, BK, Cf, Es, Ce, Eu and Pr behaviour on an anionite and cationite in PbO2 mixture in sulfuric acid solutions is investigated. Essential difference in distribution coefficients of BK and Ce on the one hand and the rest transplutonium and rare earth elements on the other hand, associated with oxidation of the first two elements up to tetravalent state is discovered. Techniques for BK(4) and Ce(4) concentrating and separation from other transplutonium and rare earth elements on the anionite in 0.01-0.25 mole/l H2SO4 solutions and cationite in 0.75-1.0 mole/l H2SO4 are suggested
