Experience in startup test time reduction
- 1. C-E Power Systems, Combustion Engineering, Inc., Windsor, CT
Description
This paper describes the analytical methods necessary to reduce startup test time for the selected tests performed at various power plateaus during the power ascension following the low power physics tests. The total test time reduction justified by this work is approximately five days. Partial benefit of this work has been realized at SONGS-2, SONGS-3 and ANO-2. Implementation of this work at other plants having C-E NSSS's is expected in the near future
