Excitation spectra of visually stimulated recombination luminescence radiated copolymers of methylmethacrylate with dimethacrylate oxymethylanthracene

Description
Anthracene is an effective electron trap. In the hope that the introduction of an anthracene fragment would to some degree facilitate the identification of the electron trap, the authors obtained the copolymer methylmethacrylate with dimethacrylate oxymethylanthracene, where the polymethylmethacrylate chains are joined with one another by links which contain an anthracene fragment. It is shown that the intensity of recombination luminescence stimulated by a He-Ne laser increases with time when using a gamma-irradiated sample. A decrease in the probability of photoionization of the anion-radical can be expected if the sample is cooled below 77 K
