Structure of positive parity states in neutron deficient odd-odd indium isotopes

Description

The comparison of the experimental and theoretical spectra of 104,106,108In is presented. In the case of the 1+ levels the percentage of the experimental GT feeding is shown. It corresponds to the percentage (ng-tilde7/2 pg-tilde9/2)1+ wave function in these states. Only those 1+ levels which contain more than 1% of the relative GT strength are shown. It is interesting that the multiplet structure of 104In (where 2+ and 4+ and also 3+ and 5+ levels are close to the degeneracy) may be understood as the effect of the spin dependent part of the delta force provided that the d5/2 neutron shell is half filled. It means that the occupation probability is close to 0.5. However, from the Nazarewicz's results one obtains vd5/22=0.368 in the 104In case and 0.490 in the case of 106In. So in fact to obtain the agreement with the experiment the d5/2 occupation probabilities were taken from the odd-odd isotopes havier by two units. For the calculation of 104In the vd5/22 was taken from 106In data and so on. Occupation probabilities used in the calculation are shown. The model presented describes the splitting of 1+ levels and the phenomenon of the Gamow-Teller strength distribution. The structure of the neutron-proton multiplets may be also understood. (author)
