High-intensity volumetric neutron source based on a pulsatory Field Reversed Configuration
- 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Ehlektrofizicheskoj Apparatury, Leningrad (Russian Federation)
Description
Evaluations of the assumed parameters of a conceptual high-intensity neutron source based on a Field Reversed Configuration are presented. Similar source possessing high density of the neutron flux (up to 10 MW/m2) would allow to conduct intensive tests of structural materials and the blanket sub-module, for a demonstration fusion reactor.
