Nonconservation of helicity during the diffractive production of b-1 (1235) resonances in the π-p→b-1p reaction

Description
The diffractive production of b-1 (1235) resonances in the π-p→b-1 p reaction, and the angular parameters of the b-1 →π-ω decay, were investigated. The data were then used to show that the mechanism responsible for the production of the b-1 resonances in this reaction is independent of energy and is responsible for helicity nonconservation in both the s and t channels
