Description

The Gotthard ββ detector is a 180 l TPC filled enriched 136Xe at 5 bar. It has taken data for 6000 hours of live time since a major upgrade that reduced the background noise of a large factor compared to the previous data. Analysis of αα and βα coincidences provides an estimation of the gas radio-purity at the 10-12 g/g level. The 90 % c.l. limit on ββν is Τ1/20ν > 4.4 x 1023 yr, corresponding to mνe < 1.8-2.8 eV. The same limit on majoron mode is Τ1/2χ0 > 1.4 x 1022 yr, or (gνχ0) > 1.5 x 10-4. (author)
