Description
Gamma-radiolysis of alkaline solutions of Ce(III) chelates with aminopolycarboxylic acids of different sizes like ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) and iminodiacetic acid (IDA) revealed that OH radicals selectively attack the ligands probably due to a molecular kinetic effect rather than a steric one. The low G(CH2O) values are ascribed to the reaction of CH2O with H2O2. (author)
