Analysis of the Parail-Pogutse instability in the presence of lower hybrid and electron cyclotron waves

Description

It is shown that the injection of suitable amount of electron cyclotron power can stabilize the Parail Pogutse instability driven by lower hybrid waves in the current drive regime. The computation is explicitly performed for the ordinary mode in perpendicular propagation. (author)
