Description
The γ-irradiation does effects in extraction and re-extraction properties (U,Pu,Am,Eu,Pm), physical data (density, viscosity, diopter, transmissivity of ultraviolet ray), have been determined. The composition and structure of irradiated TRPO were studied by infra-red spectrometry. Results show that polymer, alkyl phosphine acid, nitroso-compound, nitro-compound, carbonyl compound can be shown in the infra-red spectrometry. A simple washing with 5% Na2CO3-1mol/L HNO3-H2O can scrub out main irradiation products from solvent phase. TRPO possesses excellent irradiation stability. It can be used to treat high level liquid waste and some transuranium targets
