Sakhalin: Russia's first LNG project
Description
In June 1994, Sakhalin Energy, a wholly foreign-owned investment company, signed a Production Sharing Contract with the Russian Federation for the development of the Piltun Astokhskoye and Lunskoye gas fields off the coast of Sakhalin Island in the Russian Far East. The details of the contract are discussed and the development plans for the project outlined. (UK)
