Incommensurate superlattice in Mo-substituted Bi4V2O11

Description
A Bi2V(1-x)MoxO(11+x)/2 solid solution derived from Bi4V2O11 has been prepared and characterized with x up to 0.225. The ability to introduce Mo into the [V] site of Bi4V2O11 leads to the stabilization of a β incommensurate phase at room temperature. 6 refs., 6 figs., 2 tabs
