Investigation of separation and purification of hydrogen by using La-rich MMNi/sub 5/ hydride

  • 1. Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhejiang Univ., Hangzhou

Description

Many researchers are actively engaged in purification of H/sub 2/ by means of metal hydrides because of its lower cost and high purity of product. Some characteristics of rare-earth alloys in purification of H/sub 2/ mainly poison-resistance, low desorption pressure, easiness to be activated, make them superior to other alloys. In order to apply metal hydrides to the purification of H/sub 2/ commercially, the effect of pressure-induced HADC on the degradation of alloys and the mechanism of purification have to be solved. These problems are the focuses of this paper
